Canyon Main Street is a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating under the guidance of the Texas Historical Commission. Our mission is to breathe new life into the heart of Canyon, Texas, through community-driven projects that celebrate our heritage, enhance our public spaces, and bring people together.

PRESERVATION

We work to protect and restore the architectural and cultural treasures that define Canyon’s identity. From building facades to landmark recognition, we ensure our history is not only remembered but celebrated.

BEAUTIFICATION

From seasonal plantings to public art installations, we’re committed to making downtown Canyon a place of beauty, creativity, and inspiration.

PROMOTION

We support events that bring people together from festivals and parades to farmers markets and holiday celebrations. These moments create lasting memories and strengthen our community bonds.

Facade Grant Program

About the Facade Grant Program

Businesses and residential properties located within the Canyon Main Street District may be eligible for a Facade Grant. A facade grant is a matching grant that helps property owners invest in exterior improvements that enhance the appearance, functionality, and historic character of their buildings.Eligible projects may include exterior painting, awning repair or replacement, signage improvements, landscaping, masonry work, exterior cleaning, and other approved enhancements visible from the public right-of-way.The Facade Grant Program helps preserve and beautify the Main Street District, encourages private investment, and showcases the value of downtown Canyon. By supporting property improvements, the program contributes to a more attractive, welcoming, and vibrant district for residents, visitors, businesses, and property owners alike.Through these investments, the program strengthens community pride, promotes economic vitality, and helps ensure that Canyon's historic downtown remains a destination for generations to come.
